I think everyone has a certain snack food that they crave and if it is put in front of them, they can't stop at just one, or two, or three. Actually I have several but my top two would have to be Doritos and Pretzel M&Ms. And since I don't think Doritos would taste that great in a cookie, I decided to try the M&Ms.
I used the same cookie batter recipe from this post. I just substituted 1 & 1/2 cups of the Pretzel M&ms for the chocolate chips. I also felt bad about not sharing the cookies with the kids last time, so these are for them (and ME).
I am telling ya, this is THE BEST cookie batter I have ever had. And if are not opposed to risking your health by eating raw ingredients, GO FOR IT! Lick that beater clean girlfriend.
Typically when I am in the kitchen, I screw something up. This was no exception. I put the M&Ms in a ziploc baggie not quite zipped all the way. I didn't want any explosions. I took a sauce pan and started beating it. You know, to break 'em up a bit. Well, M&M's went flying everywhere! They unzipped the rest of the opening and came out the top and they still managed to explode out the bottom. I ended up with either whole M&Ms or powder. It wasn't pretty.
I decided to keep strong and carry on. And Grandma, if you are looking at this, yes that is the melon baller I borrowed from you two years ago and never returned. Sorry! But look how handy it has come in for me:)
Ok we are ready for the oven. This recipe makes a ton of cookies. I filled four baking sheets just like this one. I also need to let you know that after the first batch came out of the oven, I decided to do a taste test. It was good but not great. I was getting more salty flavor than sweet, so I added chocolate chips to the batter. Soooooo, if you are using this recipe ,you will want to add in 1 & 1/2 cups Pretzel M&Ms PLUS 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
Mmmm! The perfect combination of sweet and salty.
BET YA CAN'T EAT JUST ONE!
