Welcome to Etsy Saturday at Fakin It. With Father's Day just around the corner, I thought I would share some cool things I found on Etsy that I think my outdoorsy hubby would like.
My oldest C has been doing the Chess Club the last 2 years and he and my DH like to pull out our cheapy board and play together. I would love for them to play on this beautiful hand made chess set crafted from 1830's barn rafters. You can find it here at Heirloom Woodworks. This is definitely something lovely enough to be kept out on display as a work of art in addition to being recreational.
I know most people will think a bird house is kind of a girly gift but not this Bullet Shell Birdhouse from Winestone Birdhouses. I bet the birds will be fighting to move into this stone-faced facade. And your husband will appreciate that only the toughest and most worthy birds are living in his house.
Survive N Style has the coolest Paracord Survival Bracelets. This one is called Steppe Wildcat because of the stones. These bracelets can be worn by all sorts of outdoors-men. When in need of rope or a line, just unbraid it and voila! Use it as a laundry line, a tent rope or to lasso a wild boar. Or just wear it to look like a cool manly man whose ready for whatever life throws at ya.
Mirasol Farm has this awesome Backpacker's Soap with witch hazel. It's supposed to help with nettles. I don't know what those are exactly but I am sure my manly husband does and would be glad to have something to help soothe his skin from the dangers of the wild. It also doubles as a shampoo so you can pack light. And if all that is not enough, it is vegan and organic so it won't hurt the earth from which it was created.
Have fun shopping and if you want to check out some more Etsy finds, hop on over to my other blog Scout Mom
