So if you asked me three months ago what chevron was, I would have been like "duh, it's a gas station!" Turns out it is really a zig zag pattern and all the rage right now. Polka dots and plaids are soo last Tuesday!
Therefor, today I am featuring a few of my favorite chevron Etsy finds.
Sometimes being a SAHM it's hard to feel important, official, demanding of respect. And somehow writing notes on personalized stationary makes me feel special, especially when it's a fun, flirty pattern in bold fresh colors. That demands respect right?
I think this personalized chevron stationary from Row House 14 is just the ticket to turn my Stay-at-Home status into that of a highly qualified professional. Isn't it amazing what one piece of paper can do? Of course I tell my kids, that one piece of paper has to be a college diploma but for now I will stick with super cool chevron notecards.
The only craze bigger than chevron is of course CUPCAKES! How genius is that to combine the two into one adorable cake plate like the one seen here at Aedriel Originals.
If only my hubby liked cupcakes. I love trying new flavors but feel like so many go to waste because we can't eat 24. I mean really maybe I could eat 12 during a Little House on the Prairie marathon but that still leaves 12 lonely cupcakes staring me down. What's a girl to do?
Perhaps you need to enter into this fad just a little bit at a time. How about starting small with this darling monogrammed keychain from Sofa City Sweethearts. She also has the CUTEST pet ID tags!
Pink and brown are one of my favorite color combinations-which makes this even more of a prize find for me. By the way, I have no clue where Sofa City is but it sounds like a cozy place to live. Hee Hee
If only I had an iphone, specifically the iphone 4g. I could wrap it up safely in this super hip chevron printed case from Pencil Shavings Paper. I would be the coolest texting mama at the playground. Perhaps she can make this to fit my cheapo Motorola free flip phone. Or maybe I could buy this and just pretend I had an iphone inside and make little beeping sounds as I fake dial...
Have you ever pulled up to the checkout at Walmart in your shiny cart with the one wobbly wheel and feel like you're missing something. You check the cart. Nope-you're maxi pads and Tums are in there along with that extra large box of Twinkies and case of Diet Coke. Then you look down into your purse and pull out your checkbook with the Diet Coke stain and torn corner and realize that what you are missing is this...
A super sassy yet classy chevron ruffled checkbook cover from Sass Rocket . Are you dying from the adorableness? It's just cute enough to make you forget that there is only $50 in your account when you go to write that $100 check.
I am a total sucker for baby blankets! I love them almost as much as the squishy little babes all wrapped up inside. I think my kids (as babies) could go at least 2 weeks and have a different blanky each day without a repeat. And when I got rid of all my baby stuff, the blankies were the hardest to part with. I have saved most of them with the hopes that my grandkids can use them if they don't get moth eaten over the next 20-30 years, the blankets not the grandkids. I don't think moths eat children but I could be wrong.
I would be beyond thrilled if the stork dropped off a baby at my front door bundled in this darling chevron owl Rags to Riches quilt from Humble Pie Originals. Although I might just give the baby back and keep the blanket. After nine years in a row or diaper changes and sleepless nights ,I am pretty content with the stages my kids are at right now.
Well that's it for Etsy Saturday this week. Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!
If you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see next week, just leave a comment with a request and don't forget to become a facebook fan or a google friend!
Thank you so much for featuring my fun little chevron ruffled checkbook cover! What an awesome thing to see at the end of my vacation! I love ALL of the fun little chevron items you featured...I'm a sucker for the chevron pattern myself and may just have to get some of those notcards!
