Happy Halloween! Mwah-ah-ha-ha!
Halloween is just way to much fun to limit ourselves to only one spooky-licious muffin tin meal. For added ambiance, we have our creepy spider web table runner, and our super scary jack-o-lantern teddy.
For the monstrous meal I made :
Frankenstein pizza (food marker drawing on back crust),
pumpkin spice cookie,
carrot fingers with Frito fingernails (the fingernails were the first to be eaten),
eye ball pizza,
grape eye balls,
apple sauce with Halloween sprinkles
and candy corn garnish.
My youngest is outgrowing board books but I love this one so much that I just have to feature it.
This Is Not a Pumpkin by Bob Staake is one of my favorite fall kid books. The story starts out by showing the picture above and saying "This is not a pumpkin" Staakes uses descriptive words like round and big but still says "This is not a pumpkin" Preschoolers can get the feel for reading because they figure out when you're going to say "but this is not a pumpkin". My second grader apparently forgot this story and started arguing with it out loud . Once he got to the end he went "OOHH!" and began laughing. I love the magic of books!
That book sounds cute. And your muffin tin is very creative. Cute grape eyes. And I am not surprised the fingernails got eaten first. Yummy

I've never heard of that book before, but it sounds like something my kids would get a kick out of! Those eyeballs look a bit too realistic!
