OK so apparently we are fixated on S'mores. Let's go with that and I am going to share with you some awesome and unusual S'more recipes that I've found on other blogs. Any of these could be used toward Achievement 9 (What's Cooking) in the Bear Handbook.
Please note that all photos shown belong to the corresponding blog and are not my own.
The first yummy recipe comes from Stampin' and Craftin'. Fulfill requirement 9b by making a super simple snack for the next den meeting.
Doesn't this look yummy. To find out all the ingredients and amounts be sure to click the link above. I have made a similar mix with Teddy Grahams, M&Ms, and mini marshmallows. I was also thinking you could use the new CARS marshmallows in this and seve at the Pinewood Derby.
I was in a sorority for like 5 minutes in college. During rush week we made a few hundred of these s'more pops to serve as snacks. They were super yummy but after making so many, I swore I'd never make them again. Luckily I found the blog Sleepy Time Productions so she can show you how to make these fun no-bake desserts.
I love this next S'more variation. They are sorta like a Rice Crispy treat without the Rice Crispies. I definitely want to try this recipe from Artsy Fartsy Mama. And don't worry if you don't have the star shaped muffin tin. I would guess that any shape would work.
If you want to take a new twist on the traditional S'more then you need to try these scrumptious looking treats made by Simple Girl. Instead of Hershey's bars she uses Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Yummy!!
After camping and hiking those cub scouts can work up a hearty appetite and a little s'more just isn't gonna cut it. Good thing we have Not Just a Housewife to show us how to make a giant S'more cake. And wouldn't this just blow your pack's mind at the Father/Son Cake Bake?
Still want s'more info on this camping favorite? You can get a bit of history and s'more S'mores recipes at Baking Bites.
Thanks so much for visiting Scout Mom!
